Best fit: larger homes where a 22kW would be running close to its limit, such as houses with central air plus a well pump, a finished basement or a detached garage or shop, after a load review.

At 240V the 24kW supplies up to 100 amps on propane and 94 amps on natural gas, 8 amps more on propane than the 22kW and 6 more on natural gas. It uses the same 100A main breaker as the 22kW and weighs only 10 lb more.
That extra margin is useful when several motors can start together, or when the home’s load is likely to grow. It still does not replace a proper load calculation: electric heat, EV charging and multiple air conditioners can push past 24 kW, and those are the cases where load management or a larger unit makes sense.
Platinum sizing recommendation: If your 22kW load review comes out tight, the 24kW is usually the next step to compare. We check your panel, fuel supply and starting loads, and tell you plainly if the extra capacity is not needed.
It weighs 461 lb (209 kg) without the battery and needs a 12V AGM Group BTX20L battery rated at 310 CCA or more, which is not included. Fuel pipe must be sized for full load: 8.23 m³/hr of natural gas or 14.03 L/hr of propane.
Generac also sells this size as a bundle with a 200A service-rated transfer switch (G007326-0). Per Generac’s sheet, the cETL certification applies to the unbundled generator, and bundled units are ETL certified for the USA only, so for a Canadian install ask us which generator and Canada-listed switch, such as the RXSW200A3CUL, to pair.
