Best fit: air-cooled generators with a non-AGM battery, in places where temperatures reach 0°F (-17°C).

Generac requires 5W-30 synthetic oil when any cold weather item is installed. If you are replacing an old part, it has to come off first.
Covered by a one-year limited warranty from Generac.
Start with the battery type. The current air-cooled generators we list use an AGM battery, and Generac says this warmer is not necessary with AGM-style batteries, so a newer generator may not need it.
For an older unit with a conventional battery, it often goes with the oil warmer, and the breather warmer is added where heavy icing occurs.
Generac’s bulletin for this part dates from 2017. The sheets for the newest 10 to 28kW generators list different cold weather part numbers, so tell us your generator model before ordering and we will confirm the right part.
